I have a report view created for a report previously. There was a change done to the source report. The report is updated with the new package but the report view was created previously with old package. Now I am unable to set the prompt values for the report view. Is there any process to refresh the report view so that the view gets updated with new package??

If the source report has prompt values set, rather than the check box for "Prompt for Values", you will be unable to set prompt values on the Report View of it.
The report view should automatically pick up any changes to the source report.
This gets a bit more difficult when using a package from a cube, are you using a cube or going straight to the database?
You always have the option of hacking the report xml or could you just recreate the report view?
