Hi All,
I have a chart Ratings & No. of Claims.My requirement is show the No. of Claims in middles of the Bar. But it always shows in top in cognos 10.

It is fine with cognos 8.4 version.

Please guide me...

For the location of the value laid over the bars, check the property for the bar called Chart Labels > Value Location.

For the "Notes" numbers, go to the query behind it and choose Run > View Tabular Data. Are you seeing any data? If not, fix that and see if your numbers show up.

Hi bdbits,
You are right but this option is available only in Cognos 8.In Cognos 10 there is option in Menu Bar :

Tool -> Option -> Advance -> Use Legacy chart authoring (uncheck it )

Then Use the chat It ll comes with 3-D.I am using that chart. In this Value location option is not there.

Please find the attachment & look the different charts.

I looked with both legacy and and the current 10.1.1 chart engine. The option is in both of them.

Perhaps you need to open a support ticket with IBM.

Update: I'm sorry, I was looking at an existing report I had. I see now when I drag in a new chart and pick the one you did, the Chart Labels > Value Location is no longer a property. Hmm... I guess I am not familiar enough with the 'new' charting engine to give you a solid answer.

Does anyone have an update on this? I'm having the same issue, where my chart values are displaying on top of bar. I'd like to display them in the middle.

Hi,

up to 8.4 having the Value Locations for Chart, after 10.1.0, 10.1.1, 10.2.0 there is no Value location.

But in 10.2.1 it is there i am not exact weather center is there or not. but Top & Bottom Inside & Outside is there....

Try to use 10.2.1.

Hi,

select the combination chart and make sure that values location as centered under Chart labels
and select the series(we can see bar properties in ancestor) and give values as show and value location as centered under Chart labels.
