Title: Complex report
Post by: pradeepmaran on 10 May 2012 01:29:26 AM
Hi All,
I need a perfect example for complex report. It will be better, if you share your experience on the most complex report you came across in  your projects.

Thanks & Regards,
Pradeep

I'd consider a report truly complex when it takes a good 10 seconds to just open query panel. Say, 80-120 queries all together with local joins , some unions or a combination of both..   ;)
Of course page sets, complex crosstabs and juicy conditional formatting and rendering    ;D

I would consider a report to be truly complex if it has the logic of determining what the data in future would be so that it can run by itself instead of having to go to the database to get the data every time. This would resolve all performance issues ;D
