Has anyone seen users switch accounts mid-session in Cognos Connection? We held UAT yesterday and found that in the middle of 3 users' Cognos sessions, after navigating to a new folder or running a report, the username at the top of the Cognos Connection page changed to someone else's username, and their access in Public Folders matched that username instead of the account that they logged in with. If they clicked on My Area Options > My Preferences > Renew the Credentials this resolved the problem.
We're on Cognos 10.1.1 using Active Directory for authentication, SSO is not enabled. Has anyone seen this issue before? Any advice on troubleshooting/resolving this? Thanks!
How is your AD connection set up? As a Native Connection or as a LDAP Connection? What are you using for the user lookup search?
Screen shots of our authentication setup are attached - we have two Active Directory domains set up in the Cognos namespace. I'm not an authentication expert - where would I find the config for the user lookup search to let you know? Thanks again for your help - I appreciate it!
