Title: How to join field in another table without massive crossjoin errors
Post by: PamA on 29 Mar 2012 09:50:21 AM
I inherited this Earnings Group report that is working fine.  However, they want to see if an employee was paid by a company other than his Home Company Name.

Whenever I add "Worked for Company Name" from the Employee Timesheets folder/table into a query, even joining it, and then add to Query 1 and put on the report,  it gives crossjoin errors OR Unanticipated errors.  Cross joins are allowed in the report, btw.

Here are the original joins.  I don't know where or even how to add "Worked for Company Name" to get it to validate properly.  Cross joins are allowed in the report, btw.

Any ideas?

Query1
Employee Number
Employee Name
Home Company Name
Org Level 1 Code
Earning Group Code
Employement Status Code
Job Title
Pay Group Code

Query 2
Org Level 1
Org Level 1 Code

Query 3 (Q4 & Q5 joined to Q3)
Employee Number
Employee Name
Home Company Code
Org Level 1 Code
Earning Group Code
Employment STatus Code
Job Title
Pay Group Code
Job Title
Pay Group Code
Pay Group
Project Code

Query 4
Employee Number
Employee Name
Home Company Code
org Level 1 Code
Earning Group Code
Employment STatus Code
Job Title
Pay Group Code
Pay Group
Project Code

Query 5
Employee Type Code
Position Code
Position
Employee Number

I don't know what I'm doing and any help is GREATLY appreciated!!

Problem solved.  Checked with the admin and we don't even use this table, no data there!!!
