Does anyone know a way to easily query the content store for report information? I am looking for a way to query the content store and get report information.

The other option is to use the SDK. There are samples available that show you (mostly in JAVA) how to query the content store, update content, and run jobs/reports.

You need to be using 8.2 to use a SQL 2005 cube. It's a limitation of 8.1.
