Title: Content Store in SQL - problems after detach/attach

If I stop the cognos service and detach the content store database, would you expect to be able to attach the database and restart the Cognos service without any issue please?

It should be ok, provided you haven't made any change to the Cognos config inbetween.

If your Cognos environment is a distributed install, then ensure that the dispatcher running the Content Manager service is started first.    If application is started before CM you can sometimes encounter problems with cryptographic keys.

Thank you for the reply.  It was on a single server installation but luckily was a test system.  I never managed to recover the content DB but had a content export.  I recommend everyone to perform regular content exports  :)
