My client is trying to run a report (any report) in any format from within Report Studio and every time, she gets a blank output page. There are no prompts, etc - this is not data driven. We run the same report from Cognos Connection and data appears in the output window.
All browser settings have been checked and have the appropriate settings for Cognos. The server is also set as a trusted site. We have re-registered msxml3.dll. Pop up blockers are off, add ins have been disabled. This is IBM Cognos 10.1. and IE8. We do not have another browser available to test on this pc. Other users are successful on their own pcs but if they log on to the problem pc with their ids, they are not able to run reports from within Report Studio.
The problem is definitely pc specific and probably browser specific. Any ideas?
Is this specific to a report output format? IE. HTML vs Excel?
What formats work or don't work?
If it's CSV and/or Excel see this:

Admin Expertise.. please help
Hi,
Is the Enable XSS Filter enables for the web browser in the security setting ? if yes try disabling it. Also try using the web browser in compatibility mode.
Regards
Same problem. Would love to hear back if anyone has figured this one out.
Make sure you are running in compatibility mode if you are using IE 10/11.
Hi,
Already using Compatibility Mode. Still have the problem.
Hi,
Did you manage to figure out the issue ? Looks like its related to browser setting only.
In our case, the issue was caused by having to scroll on the data source prompt page prior to displaying the actual report prompt page. By scrolling, Cognos does not properly scroll back up as part of rendering the prompt page. It was confirmed by IBM and is listed as a bug in 10.2.1.
We have had multiple unexplicable errors on Cognos 10.1/10.2 in combination with IE8. When we migrated to IE10, all those issues were gone....
According to the release notes of Cognos 10.2.2 FP8, this issue should have been fixed (see APAR http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27038339#tab_10218)
Can anyone confirm this?
