Hey all, simple question...
Have a list report, 3 columns, want to sort the first two columns. You highlight the first column, sort ascending.
You highlight the second column to sort, but when you select ascending or descending, the first column sort goes away.
If I multi select both columns to sort at the same time, the sort icon grays out... This is cognos 10 Report Studio.
I dont know If I am going crazy, but I always remember being able to sort on multiple columns...
Can someone please advise?
Try grouping on the first column. When you sort the second, it should sort within the context of the groups in the first column.

You can also select the entire list, then go to the sorting property in the properties list. Then you can control the sorting across as many columns as you want.
