Forgive me if this is a foolish question, but I would like to know if there is a way to modify the initial login page for Cognos 8 (I have seen and modified the skins of Cognos Connection, but everyone who comes to the app still lands at the out-of-the-box Cognos Login page) from within Cognos 8.
I have not seen rebranding this page anywhere in the manuals or user guides, but they talk a lot about customization after login. That is useful to me, and as I noted above, I have done this already, but I'd like to know if there's a Cognos-approved method of customizing the login page itself.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

i'd like to second that, even if the original thread was opened months ago â€" we're just about to â€" hopefully â€" find a solution to exactly the same thing. will keep you updated if we make any progress.
I'm not sure about "approved", but you could simply take the output of the login page and save it as HTML. Than you could modify it to your heart delight. You could also try to modify the logon.xts but that might bring you into "unsupported installation" in Cognos eyes.

The problem with custimizing your login page isn't your the login page itself, it is the logoff/logon again that is the problem. There should be a link somewhere on the Cognos knowledge base. The problem however is getting the logon again link to point to this cumstomized page.
