I see the post at the bottom but I have a question. How many data items can be added as column headings for the one single measure?
Column 1 (Data Item 1)| Column 2(Data Item 2)
|Ethincity | Special Ed
Row ->School|Student Count(Only one Measure for both data items)
--------------------------------------------------
Im trying to create a crosstab that has more than one column each time I add another data item to the column area the report says it cant see the previous column. Can only one data item be added to the column area? Ex. I have a data Item for Ethnicity that data is store in one data item and Special Ed is store in another.
|Ethincity| Special Ed
School|Student Count
The report works fine if I just use one data item as column heading add another and it can see the previous column.
Thanks for the time and assistance,
Tim :o
Hey Tim,
It is my understanding you can have only 1 data item to use as a calculated measure. My example would be:
Revenue - see below.
Columns you can have: January February March
Rows -
Food $5 $10 $15
Beer $6 $15 $20
You cannot have it calculate revenue then say covers also as the calulated measure in the crosstab.
Any GURUS please correct me if I off base on this. Or if you know of a way to complete.
Not sure if I understand the issue, but I have the feeling you need to understand the sequence in which to build the crosstab:
1. Drag 1st non-measure to the rows section of crosstab
2. Drag first measure to the columns section of crosstab
3. Drag 2nd non-measure and superimpose it above the measure (columns section)
4. Drag 2nd measure to the right of the 1st measure
The crosstab will then present:
| 2nd non-measure |
| 1st measure (label) | 2nd measure (label) |
1st non-measure | value | value |
