Hi,

We have budget version 1 and budget version 2 in our planning application.Now the BV1 is finalysed and how to lock the bv1 without changes in future .

Usually this is accomplished by setting a Read access table on the BV1 dimension member..

Anand,

No. Assuming you are referring to Contributor data that you want to "lock," this would be an Access Table managed in the Contributor Admin Console (CAC) under Saved Selections and Access Tables.

If you are using Analyst to hold all of your data, then you were headed in the right direction.

In either case, you may want to take a back up of your data (publish to a publish container from the CAC or publish/export the d-cube data from Analyst), just in case.

Hi Eric,

In CAC access tables i can see only cube level security.But i would like to lock the data in bv1 item level(dlist name:5 version and item names:bv1,bv2,fb etc)

Anand,

Select the 5 Versions dimension in the top-left area and the d-cubes that use that dimension will be available for selection just to the right of that. There are help files in the CAC, for much more detailed information...this should address your requirement.
