Title: EP 10.1 Incorrect Aggregation within e.List Hierarchy
Post by: Teamkenji on 16 Nov 2011 05:48:10 AM
Hi.

After upgrading to EP 10.1, Some of my aggregations, within my E.list hierarchy are returning incorrect figures, in one case, doubled. Apparently this relates to Multi-E.List item view being activated. Reducing my e.list or turning off Multi-e.List item view to is not an option

The IBM website details a solution to this problem. This being to run a full reconcile.
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21468294 (http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21468294)

This works but only until a user changes some data. The Error is  then reinstated.

Does anyone have an alternate permanent work around for this issue?

Second question, to help me plan my mitigation, i.e. rolling back to version 8.4. Is it still the case that you cannot migrate an analyst model back to a previous version?

Thanks

Hi Teamkenji,

For your aggregation issue, this is a known defect.  The permanent solution is to contact Cognos support and request a hotsite, they'll know which one it is.

As for your second question, you can migrate the analyst model back.  You just have to ensure that you re-add the library to analyst (which will automatically run a rebuild / refresh on the indices and references), or manually run these two processes if you do not remove and re-add.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Can you confirm that a hotsite actually exists currently?

Thanks

Yes, one does exist.
