Title: Query or Report Studio will not load

Query or Report Studio will not load when clicked on fron Cognos Connection.

Cognos 8.1.2 Loaded on Windows XP using SQL server Content Store.

Cogonos Connection workks Ok and I have been able to create and publish a model with Cognos Framework. All Components or on the XP pc.

Trying to test before installing over a Cognos 7 version.

Hello mecoleman,

The first thing I'd try would be to make sure that you're using your FQDN in Cognos Configuration and when you try to load Cognos Connection in your browser.

Can you try this and see if there's an improvement?

Also - are you running the full Cognos BI Server, or a scaled down "Cognos Reportnet Server 8/10" product build?

Version 8.1.2 is pretty 'old'.  It will - for instance - not be compatible with IE 8, and only work properly with IE 7 with some tweaking. What browser are you using?

It looks from your error message as though you are trying to use a Firefox browser. I'm pretty sure this wasn't supported way back in Cognos 8.2. Try using Internet Explorer.
