Title: Data Manager VM's
Post by: Jack-c on 31 Oct 2011 11:03:38 AM
Just a friendly word of advice if opening a Data Manager catalog in one VM to run builds in another VM. By default the log and data files will be saved on the target VM, as expected.

If you change the locations of a scheduled build to point to your local VM in order to examine log/data files, and you then 'forget' to change them back, then the builds will fail when they are next scheduled to run because they won't be able to find the changed log/data file path! Builds will always fail, for whatever reason, if they can write to the specified log or data file location.
