Title: Unique Page layout - Kite Shape
Post by: dougfully on 17 Aug 2011 10:44:04 AM
HELP! Please  I'm creating a price point report...the unique thing about it is that I want to be able to create a product line 'Kite" shape  for the report.  Since cognos defaults to a vertical list...how do I write records horizontally and positionally on a page?...Please see attached excel layout sample...THANK YOU!

Hi there,

I've seen this done and I believe that the customer used a crosstab and singletons with some very interesting conditional formatting.  I think the customer was BlueScope in Australia.  They created a Red Cross with different values.  Its probable that you can created this but it's going to take some time.

You basically have to add a crosstab and then you have to unlock the cells and use singletons.

Good luck!
