Title: Using D-list format to limit input does not work in the Contributor application
Post by: kupe@lmwindpower.com on 01 Aug 2011 09:58:42 AM
I have a D-list item (currency) formatted as to another D-list (list of available currencies).
It works fine in Cognos Analyst when testing the cube. I enter the currency and it shows me what I have entered and I can't write anything but whants in the currency D-list.
And when I run a D-link it gets the right exchange rate.

The weird thing is that in my Contributor application, I can't enter a currency.
But I can enter a number, and then the corresponding exchange rates shows as expected (even though I have to guess which number equals which currency).

What have I done wrong?

Thanks in advance.
Kurt

Do you have any other formats applied, it sounds like you have a numerice format which overwrites the D-List format,

You may also have a dimension order issue on that d-cube such that another dimension is taking priority.  Check to make sure your dimensions on that d-cube are in the right order, sync, and re-GTP.
