Post by: saumil287 on 29 Jul 2011 01:44:16 AM
Hi All,
I am having a folder named sales reports which is having 7 to 8 reports hyperlinks. I know that on right click will give u the option to open in new window. But how to display the same without right clicking the report in new window or Is there any option to set the report in new window.
I had gone through the properties but unable to find the settings to open in new window.
thanks

If possible, try using a drill-through definition instead.  That has the option to open the report in a new window.

The standard Hyperlink object does not support opening in a new window.  The only way I have found to do this is using custom HTML items.

In  that case, you probably want to create a page and use a Navigator portlet.  It has an option to always open reports in a new window.

Hi there,

I noticed in your reply that you indicated that some of your reports were under "My Folders" folder.  If you plan to allow others to see this report, you may find that you will get problems with the drill down as its likely that other users will not have access to your "My Folders" location.

It's just an observation but I thought I'd point it out.
Cheers
Peter
