Title: Search throws JavaScript error
Post by: hojujoe on 27 Jul 2011 10:59:50 PM
Hi All,

I have installed C10.1 with FP1.
I have configured and run an Index Update job on 'Public Folders'.

Whenever I try to search for anything, I end up with a JavaScript error as below:

QuoteWebpage error details

Any idea what is causing this?

I could not find anything on the web..  Please help.

Thanks,

Joe

It was very painful, but found the problem.

Basically, the installation missed out some of the search scripts - eg. webcontent\fragments\search\scripts.
I had to manually copy them across from another server.

God knows why.  It's a legit copy of the software at a client site.  Thanks IBM!

It might be worth checking the transfer logs to see if any errors were reported when copying the install files from the media.  My guess is there will be some.

MF.
