Hi,

Please make sure that after migrating to new version of SQL Server, the DSNs of all the cognos reports  which are initially based on the previous version of SQL Server repoint to the new one.
So in short you will have to repoint the DSNs for all of your  projects to the new DB server.

Thanks and regards
Prerna
