Title: No IQD Generated in Framework
Post by: jsj674 on 10 Oct 2006 02:51:00 PM
I have been generating IQDs for Transformer using Framework Manager.  I've had no problems, pretty simple.  However today I created a new Query Subject from several Oracle Tables same as always, defined the package, made sure externalize was set to IQD, published the package, and presto........nothing.  I get the xml, and the cpf, but no IQD.............what could I possibly be doing wrong?  I've made dozens of these never had a problem......but I cannot get this one to work.......I'd appreciate any insight you guys can give me.  Thanks!!

Hmmmm, I tried it again this morning and it created the IQD, hadn't done anything different........but it worked, so I'm not sure what may have caused it not to run yesterday........

Did you have an active connection to the Oracle database (eg did you recently return test rows)? I found that FM behaves strangely if it hasn't accessed the database for both Teradata and Oracle data sources.

hi

you must change the type in properties for Query Subject, Externalize Method option like "iqd"
and the publish package, click to "Location on the network" and check in "Generate the files for externalized query subjects"
