Title: Creating a dynamic report
Post by: kdobeng on 23 Jun 2011 12:21:41 PM
I have a requirement to create a dynamic report where users can use any group of query objects to create different reports based on prompts and filters. How can I achieve this?

Conceptually, I think I have to create a query with all possible query objects, then prompt pages that will generate the report types and link the selected prompts to the different reports.

Thanks.

Silly question, but wouldn't it just be easier to give your users access to Query Studio and allow them to build reports with whatever items, filters and prompts they desire?  Or do licensing issues prevent this?

Just a thought,
