Hey guys Please respond to my question. Please help in this regard.
Is it possible to create prompts directly in Cognos 8 BI Analysis Studio?
If so please explain the steps?

It is possible:
if you add a item to the context, click the properties and select "use as goto parameter"
it will use this as a prompt

I though this was used only for drill-through targets.

Hi Blue,

It is indeed used with drill-through to allow parameters to be passed into the analysis, but as a nice bonus, you will find that if you run the analysis with the Cognos Viewer, the "Go To Parameter" in context will result in a Tree Prompt being generated.
