Please see attached Excel sheet to help understand what we're looking for when reading the below problem.
We need to create a report that lines up the Day (NOT the Date!) of the current month with the same Day as the prior month AND the current month prior year. For example, the first of the current month, June, is a Wednesday. The prior month the first Wednesday falls on May 4th so in the report the 4th of May would be on the same row as the 1st of June. Same logic is needed for the current month prior year, in this case, June of 2010.
Is this something we would need to do in the Framework Manager or Report Studio or a combination of both? TIA!
Look at _day_of_week function. Put it in a loop to determine which day you need going backwards.
You can do it either in FM or RS. If it is required only for one report, I would do it in RS.
