Title: how can i save all cognos configuration details?

Hi,

i have installed cognos on distributed environment.i installed gateway, dispatcher,content manger on different systems.i have configured two more dispatchers.i installed sun one directory on different system.

now my question is how can i save all cognos configuration details?

Go to your installation directory <COGNOS_ROOT>\configuration and copy (backup) cogstartup.xml file from all your installation points. Keep in mind, current passwords won't be copy with it, you will have to reenter them again in your new place, if that is your plan. For SunOne that could be a bit more complex, I'm not sure how to backup your actual configuration of SunOne, but if you're using Access Manager you can backup your LDAP system by exporting your users into LAE file.

Also, take a copy of coglocale.xml as it holds the advanced settings from Cognos Configuration.
