Title: FM Model refresh
Post by: Kanag on 26 May 2011 01:02:31 AM
Hi Guys,
When there is a change in the backend Database (say eg: column name in a table changes), Will FM detects that automatically and reflects the new name in the model???

If not, Is there any option to refresh the model in FM or refresh a query subject???

Thanks,
KR

Hi Kanag,

>open framework manager
>open you project
>open the existing model just right click on the query subject and click on update query subject this will automatically update the changes u have made to the field name or datatype

u need not recreate the model again to reflect any changes made in the DB .

hope it helps you.

thanks
bvk

Hi Kanag,

The steps suggested by bvk is really fine, but by this you will just change/refresh you Foundation View, for other views such as Consolidation View/Dimensional view you need to again manually drag the column from the Upper layers. So its a manual task to be performed if there is any change in the back end.

Thanks,
Hitesh
