I need a step-by-step installation and configuration document or some guideline, I will like a users documents because I can not understand Cognos Documents in the knowledgebase page.Ã,  I have to install and configure Cognos 8 in a Windows 2003 server using a MS SQL 200 database.Ã,  Ã,

On the install CD(s) you get lots of good documentation to help you with the install.  Look for the Cognos 8 Architecture and Planning Guide (crn_arch.pdf), the Cognos 8 Installation and Configuration Guide (inst_cr_winux.pdf), and the Cognos Configuration User Guide (ug_inst_crn_cnfg.pdf).  These should tell you step-by-step all you need to know to successfully install and configure Cognos 8.

Dear MF,

Is it lots of difference from a Guide of V7 to V8? Just in case it had a lot of change can I get it through any channel. I am a project Manager who might need to know overall application concern point before received those media. Many thanks in advance.
