Title: Windows 7 64 bit - Can't Open AS or RS with Internet Explorer

Hi,

On my Windows 7/64 bit machine, I've tried with IE8, and IE9 against Cognos 8.4.1 and Cognos 10..

When I attempt to open report studio, I'm getting the following message (in the IE "Status Bar")


Message: No such interface supported

cognoslaunch.js


Any idea what's up with this? (this is only on my particular machine I'm getting this. Other machines work fine)

I've tried the trusted sites, and disabling the XSS filter with no change in results.

Any help would be appreciated!

Solved...

I specifically run the "Internet Explorer (64-bit)" from the start menu, and it works fine.

I'm assuming the desktop shortcut was to the 32-bit IE.
