Title: record count not matching in the reportlevel and db level
Post by: srinivas.inbox83 on 12 Apr 2011 04:17:54 AM
Hi
I have a simple list report which is a drill through to the cube .the parameters that are passed from the cube to this report are defined in the FM level for the report in the report studio

When I run this  report it is giving result with row count = x
for the same report I took the sql from generate sql/mdx and fired in the data base(DB2) the record count is not matching with the above count

I don't understand the problem , pls explain me

if u have any confusion in my post lemme know , will explain more clearly

Hi, I have requirement like, we have a name column, i want to design a text box prompt, in which i have to enter the character length of that name data item.
Suppose if i enter 8 in that text box prompt, name which have character length 8 and lesser than that comes on the report output. How can we design prompt like this.

Hi,

Is the number of rows in Cognos is less or more.

If it is less than you can try changing the value of the property "Auto Group and Summarize" of the Query to 'No'.

Thanks
