Title: Can I stop Framework Manager from changing column names?
Post by: Bluebird on 14 Jul 2006 05:56:15 AM
Hi everyone

We are using CRN v1.1 MR3.  A table at Import View level in the model contains a column called #SSORN.  When this column is used in the layer above, the name is changed by FM to C_SSORN.   After finding this I checked other tables in Import View and any column name that starts with the # character is changed to C_ .

Is there any way I can stop this happening?  Thanks.

Is the # symbol reserved in CRN?  I think the # open and closes something, maybe macros? Thus, you couldnt have them in your query subjects.

I think having symbols in entity names is bad anyhow. Just my opinion, tho...

Mike

That is something to check.  Thanks Mike.  I agree about names including characters but there is not much I can do about this.
