Hi,
I am using a Analyst model which has 96 Dlinks and 26 cubes.I am doing a change in the model and as it is unwieldy, I am not able to keep a track of what all items get affected if I remove a Dlink or a Dlist item. Can anyone please suggest how to capture a data flow diagram of the entire model.I need a diagram which lists all the cubes with the Dlinks connecting different Dlist items of the respective cubes. Is there anyway I can do this. Thanks for your help
Thanks,
Srinivasan
Have you considered the flowcharting functions in Cognos Manager? This would enable you you to create a flowchart with "link" to items in your model.

You can also get an item-by-item output by printing the objects from the Analyst library objects screen, but it's tricky to get a bigger picture.
Also, if you want to get really creative you could create a Contributor model from your library, which will turn it into xml, which you/someone in IT could write transform into graphviz inputs.
Bit of a hassle, but if you have a significant project need for this it might justify it.
Thanks everyone for your reply. Let me see how feasible every solution is for this project. Thanks
Theres also this tool which helps with documenting models. It may be a good starting point:-

The model review tool is very intersting but does not contain what I am looking for.I need a schematic so that if a link or cube is removed, I need to know what are the other objects that get affected due to this action.

Manager is a tool doing exactly this + you can see 'Using'\'Used by' for object when you open File\Library in Analyst.
