What version of the software are you using?

The user neeedd will be the one used by the Contirbutor Adminsiration Console to exectue macros.

Hi Bubble,

It'd be useful to know which version of Planning you're using, and whether this is Analyst or Contributor.

I suspect it's a Contributor macro you're using, which will pick up the user account you have the service set up under in Admin Tools->Services.  If you have a distributed environment you may find it useful to set this for all of them.  General best practice is to use a single Domain user with local admin rights to all Cognos servers, unless you have a good reason not to.  That can help avoid all sorts of annoying potential network security hiccups.

Before troubleshooting macros as launched by web users, see if you can replicate the problem at a simpler level (ie wherever you're setting up the macro, Analyst/Contributor), this helps pinpoint where the issue is.
