Title: Crosstab: Grand Totals reflecting each Crosstab Member Node
Post by: pimogo on 24 Mar 2011 06:33:36 PM
The attached picture illustrates this best, but what i'm trying to accomplish is this. I want a grand total by each member node in a crosstab. IN other words, if you have 2 products items running down the top of a crosstab, i would like to see a total by product, not simply a grand total.

I'm currently investigating this, but if you have an idea, please let me know, I'd be eternally grateful! thanks!! :)

you mentioned it as a crosstab, but the attached file is showing it as a list report, if u r using a list report try using summary in footer.

thanks for the response! yes the picture does look like a list but it was meant as a crosstab (a bad excel mockup).

A normal crosstab would have all the columns pictured, but instead of the 3 grand totals at the end, it would have only one.

i'm trying to squeeze two more totals (one for each product). not sure its possible due to dimensionality, but thought i'd throw it out there to see for sure..

thanks

Into the furthest right of the crosstab columns, drag a crosstab space.  This will become your 'Grand Total' header line (drag a text item into it to give it the 'Grand Total' label).  Then nest your products underneath the crosstab space 'Grand Total' line and then add the total aggregate.

See the attached Report Studio layout (the yellow coloured cell is the crosstab space).
