Hello,

I'm trying to create a data source for an Oracle database in Cognos Framework Manager (C8.1.2).
When I reach the 'generate relations' screen and try to continue I get the following error message:

RQP-DEF-0177 An error occurred while performing operation 'sqlColumns' status='-9'.
UDA-SQL-0107 A general exception has occurred during the operation "columns".
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges

Does anyone know how to solve this?

What Oracle user are you using for the data source? It needs to be an admin account..

I believe sysdba. I'm not an oracle guru... If you check the documentation it will tell you what permissions you need to assign.
