try dropping a table inside instead of going with text, the list report with 1 column as input.

instead of a text item, drag and drop any query item (between Month To Date and Same Month ast Year), unlock the report and cut the text item from the new column.

Had tried this way, but no help.

However, did with the same trick text & font size (.1pt) and could able to manage with the space as shown in the attachment.

Couldn't do more.....Now finger crossed and hope the user should be OK with it  ;)
