Title: Where does Reportnet store users' email addreses?
Post by: hybridE4t on 06 Jul 2006 04:36:49 AM
Hello,

Any idea where Reportnet stores the email address that a user puts in their Reportnet Preferences -> Personal tab? And if the address is stored then if they are in a useable format or not? We are on SQL Server but I assume that the user tables Cognos creates will be at least vaguely similar regardless of the database...

Thanks, Marc

...or where their CAMID is stored (in the database). I guess that would do the trick instead.

Thanks - Marc

Their CAMID is stored in the content store database.

Yes but where in this database? Or is this setup specific?

Unfortunately Cognos maintains that the database schema is proprietary (in other words none of the customer's concern).

Therefore there is no documentation on what is stored in each tables or a guarantee that the schema will not change from release to release.

Having said that I discovered that CAMIDs are stored in the content store while debugging a security issue.

I am sorry I do not recall where.
