Title: Deactivate cognos account
Post by: abd.dany on 18 Feb 2011 11:19:42 AM
Hi everybody;

I have to deactivate +400 LDAP accounts. I can do it using Cognos Poral but it's very tiring task (more than 400 account!!!)

Has someone know where this is done in tha database level? So, I can just do an SQL update on it.

Thanks

Hi,

Are you disabling the LDAP accounts or just the profiles in Cognos?  If you are also disabling the accounts in LDAP then you can run a Content Manager consistency check to remove them.

IBM do not publish the schema for Content Manager and therefore I wouldn't attempt to try and do it via SQL.  As the profile references will exist in mutiple tables and affect multiple objects such as report ownership/schedules etc you would likely end up with a lot of orphan references.

This sounds like a fairly sizeable task so perhaps treat it as project in its own right and take your time over it

Rgds
