In 7.4 version of powerplay transformer

1)As i know that we have to create IMR report just placing columns in the report.
2)and save the IMR and then save it as IQD

Is the above 2 steps are correct or not

Please suggest me as iam very new to cognos powerplay.

Hi,

The steps you are describing would need to be completed using Cognos 7.4 Impromptu. An IMR is an Impromptu Report, and an IQD is an Impromptu Query Definition. As long as you have impromptu, these steps should be correct for building IQD files to act as data sources in Transformer.
