in prompt page I have date range like Fromdate to Todate.

by default date format should be : Mon-yyyy

when I pull the date prompt to prompt page it shows me Feb 8, 2011 how to change this to Feb 2011

Select the 'Value Prompt', in the left hand side 'Properties' pane, you should see an option called 'Data Format'.
Click on, there you can select the Format Type as 'Time' and manage to set whatever format you want the value prompt to be displayed.
