Do we have all studios from earlier such as Query, Analysis, metric? Business insight in first look through the demo does provide access to ad hoc suff. Though i am sure its for a different purpose Thanks

Cognos 10 still has Query Studio, Analysis Studio, Report Studio, PowerPlay Studio and Metric Studio but no longer has Report Studio Express Mode.
The general idea of Business Insight Advanced is that it rolls together most of the capabilities of Query Studio, Analysis Studio, PowerPlay Studio and RS Express Authoring mode into a single, unified authoring environment which is closely coupled with the Business Insight unified workspace.
If you have existing Cognos 8 users who know and love their current studios, they can continue to use these studios quite happily after moving to Cognos 10 (with the exception of Advanced Author roles using RS Express Authoring mode - these move directly into Business Insight Advanced). If you have new users who have no prior experience of QS, AS etc, they may as well jump straight in to Business Insight Advanced.
