I have a Data Tab on which I would like to show data specific to that tab but, in addition incorporate totals for all tabs. From my limited experience, it seems that anything on the tab will be filtered by that tab even if I specify "for report". Has anyone done this where on a tab there is both data specific to the tab but also data from "outside" that tab. Basically, I'm trying to show the percent contribution of the particular tab to the total of all tabs.

I've only started to have a look at this functionality myself so I'll join you on the limited experience front but as a thought...
1. Set up your Data Tab
2. Set up a Data Deck
3. Associate your Data Tab with the Data Deck
4. On a given card for those objects that you wish to filter on a particular tab/deck value then create the required master detail relationship link between the object(s) and the current deck value , otherwise don't create a master detail link on the object(s) that shall provide the summary values across all tabs.
Would that work?
