Title: Recently upgraded application (7.3 to 8.4.1) - node does not open in Contributor
Post by: jeffowentn on 29 Dec 2010 12:25:42 PM
I recently upgraded an application from 7.3 to 8.4.1 (Windows 2003 and SQL 2005).  The application was sync'ed and GTP'ed in 7.3 before upgrading.  I can sync and GTP in 8.4, but I cannot open any node (child or top level parent) using the java web client or the classic activex web client.  I used the model review tool, and I do not see anything that looks horrible.  The only thing I can figure is that the model is too large (although it opens in 7.3, just fine).  20M cells per elist and the largest d-cube is roughly 20M cells.  Sparcity is not an issue...any suggestions?

The largest items in the model definition are "dcubeblocks" that I cannot find any information on - what are they and do I have any ability to improve size/performance...

Hey Jeff,

When the node doesn't open, does it error?  Does it start to load at all?  I assume other applications that have been upgraded into 8.4.1 are able to open?  I also assume that if this is the case, that this is the largest application?
