Iam new to Cognos Powerplay transformer .Iam using 8.4 Version right now.
When iam creating a cube in Transformer iam facing a problem as
ISSUSE:Transformer could not open the datasource.Unable to decrypt username and password credentials from the content store.REview and save the cognos configuration settings to configure your reporting enviornment.
Can you please solve this issuse.

Quoting the same question twice within less than two hours will not really win you any favours with other forum posters, and will make you look impatient and demanding. This may well put people off replying to your post altogether.
The problem you are seeing is caused by Transformer's inability to open the underlying data source. I'm guessing your data source is based on either a Cognos 8 report or a Cognos 8 package? If so, the database login required to access the database is held in encrypted form on your Cognos 8 server in its Content Store database. The message is telling you that Transformer is unable to decrypt these credentials in order to use them to access the database.
I'd suggest that it's most likely an issue with incorrect configuration on the machine running Transformer. Is Transformer running on a different physical machine from your Cognos 8 instance? If so, check your installation and configuration guide to see how to configure the URI settings on the Transformer machine to enable it to share encryption keys with the Cognos 8 machine.

Actually i had done installtion both cognos 8 and cognos powerplay in same machine and environment?
Canyou elaborate me exactly what is the problem.
What are you using as your data source? A package? A report?
If you connect to your Cognos 8 instance via a browser, can you run the report/use the package successfully, or do you get errors returned there too?

Iam using package as my datasource.Iam not getting any errors while iam running reports with that same package.
