Hi, does anyone know what ports or files need to be opened to allow the How To Videos to be accessed from inside a firewall.
We are getting this error?
This how-to video could not be accessed.
A network policy or firewall could be blocking your access to the public IBM Web site that hosts the how-to videos.
I see the same error. Does anyone know the URL to access the videos directly?

I am seeing this same error. This cannot be a hard fix...
I turned off CAF but still the same message. That message is very well displayed. Looks like their web site hosting it may not be up. I don't know what was supposed to be shown but this link shows a demo of Business Insight which also shows 'how-to' do things.

Add *.ibm.com to the list of valid domains under Cognos Application Firewall
That worked. Thanks !
Support told me this was a known issue and the steps above are a work around.
I have the same issue and followed the same steps of adding *.ibm.com but didn't work.....any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Yes I also added the *.ibm.com entry to CAF and it still doesn't work
Hi guys,
There's a known defect with using the * in your valid domains in 8.4. Its a hotsite that allows for the wild card * to be used. Otherwise you are forced to add every permutation likely to be hit in your company domain.
I'll have to see if I can remember which hotsite it is and I'm not entirely sure its fixed in 8.4.1 as yet.

PM01752: AFTER ADDING A VALID 2LD INTO CAF, YOU CANNOT CREATE URLS IN COGNOS CONNECTION WHICH REFERENCE A SUBDOMAIN OF THAT 2LD.
APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
IBM Cognos 8
An error has occurred
DPR-ERR-2079 Firewall Security Rejection. Your request was
rejected by the security firewall
CAF rejection details are available in the log. Please contact
your administrator
Problem conclusion
The capability of adding a wildcard to the beginning of the
domain string to specify the validity of that domain and all its
sub-domains has been added.
For example,
specifying *.ibm.com
will allow .ibm.com and all its sub-domains:
.ottawa.ibm.com
.riverside.ottawa.ibm.com
.toronto.ibm.com
