Title: Cognos 8 BI server Installation on Standalone System

Hai
Iam installing cognos8 bi server on windows 2003  with sqlserver sp4 edition

When i check the log file ,content manager is started
i had create two virtual diretory's in IIS , cognos8, cgi-bin path given  webcontent, cgi-bin

services started successfully, when i type the http://localhost/cognos8,
"
it says page cannot be displayed"

I stuck here, can anyone help me out of this problem..

Is the Cognos 8 service running?

Hi,

I had encountered the same problem. After stopping and starting again the Cognos8 from the Cognos Configuration it worked properly.

Check IIS whether CGI is prohibited. In 2003 only ASP.NET is allowed rest are prohibited. You need to allow them
