???
Hi we are getting the followwing error when opening the reports,
" Some of the files in this web page arnt in the exspected location,do you want to download the source, click yes."
Any ideas?
John
I assume you are tying to open them in Excel?
And that the error is just a warning, that can be bypassed by clicking OK.
So what is the problem?
I,m used to products that are consistent. Would be nice to find out why its intermiitant. Just had confirmation that this has been logged by many other users as a bug in the vendor application by cognos.
The final comment from the product manager with cognos is that this is expected behaviour. Also take a look to Report Studio User Guide page 207. It also states that this is expected.
Hi John,
Able to provide more info? perhaps:
- type/style of report
- report studio?
- exporting or just report launching?
etc
Curious that COGNOS would leave a bug hanging like that.
cheers

Did you try to add CRN to trusted sites?
This is the sequence my users use.
Sequence:
1. Run a report that goes straight to xls and select open instead of save
2. Leave IE displaying the xls
3. In the original ie window select another report.
4. When run select open
5. Error message in Excel has to be ok'd before viewing the report
Hope this helps.

This problem is a known issue in the Microsoft knowledge base, and Microsoft is currently
investigating the problem. This problem occurs only in Excel 2000 and 2002.
Blank Worksheet is Opened
If Microsoft Excel cannot download a worksheet within a timeout period, Excel may instead open
a blank worksheet.

Each time Microsoft Excel opens a ReportNet report, the following message appears:
Some of the files in this Web page arenââ,¬â,,¢t in the expected location. Do you want
to download them anyway? If youââ,¬â,,¢re sure the Web page is from a trusted source,
click Yes.
This is normal Excel behavior.
Loading Excel Reports in Netscape 7.01 is Not Supported
This version of ReportNet does not support loading Microsoft Excel reports in Netscape 7.01.
Nested Labels in Charts Are Not Supported
Currently, it is not possible to specify nested labels for the category axis via XML.
Data Series Are Truncated
Microsoft Excel may show data series or categories grouped differently when compared to a chart
produced by ReportNet.
Excel limits the maximum number of data series per chart to 255. Data series over 255 are
truncated.
