Hi Cognos guru's,

Has anyone experienced the comments functionality available in Cognos 10. Are comments linked to the report (like in Cognos 8.4) or linked to the underlying data?

Hi,

Comments in Cognos 10 can now be assigned to individual objects, items or cells within a report output.

Could you please let me know what exactly is "Comments"?

Business Insight - or using the Dashboard tool will allow you to place comments on objects. Comments do not work with a standard viewer or in the default Portal (Unless you use an HTML object to embed a Business Insight report)
