Title: Max number of records for the best performance?
Post by: gdcartjr on 07 Apr 2006 03:36:32 PM
I already know the answer is 1 but can anyone tell me where you really start seeing a performance hit?Ã,  We are running Cognos Reportnet on a 2 processor dual core server, win2k3, iis6, 4gb memory and connecting to a MS SQL Server with the same specs for the Data Store.Ã,  We are trying to report off of data on a iSeries and it is really slow but I can run the same report from MS Access and it smokes.Ã,  I hate to think that as much money was spent that Access blows the doors off of this stuff.

Thanks

check the sql your reports are generating then possibly fix your framework model or report.

Without more info that is the best answer I can come up with.
