I have installed Cognos 8.4 on win2008 sp2 and successfully run the report,howerver the transformer does not work when I open it .
Dose transformer not compatible with win 2008?
Need your help ,thanks

Hi,

If you have IBM Cognos 8.4.1 it should work - the supported environments page here (http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27017522#os) shows Windows Server 2008 R2 is a supported (compatible) platform.

If you have IBM Cognos 8.4, Windows Server 2008 R2 is not a supported platform - see here (http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27014110#OS).

I installed 8.4.1 on Windows 2008 and it worked. I had some problems because the IIS looks very different there but nothing to do with Transformer.

What does it tell you when try to open it?
