Title: 8.4.1 Transformer installation on 2003

I have successfully installed 8.4.1 Transformer software on Windows 2003 OS.

But while opening Cognos Configuration i'm getting error  "The configuration data is locked by another instance".

We are sure that only one instance is Active on that machine.

Can anyone suggest ?

Hi,

If you look in the Program Files\Cognos\c8\configuration folder, is there a file called cogstartup.lock?  If so, remove this and it should allow you into the configuration utility.

Didn't got chance to look at the 'lock' file, but when we uninstalled and re-installed...the issue got resolved.
